Order Management System
for Omnichannel Retailers
Every order from every channel, checked and routed to the warehouse or store best placed to ship it.
An order management system decides what happens to each order after checkout: whether it is genuine, whether the exact item is in stock, which location should ship it, and when it is ready for a carrier. Firaasa's order management software is built for retailers whose stock is spread across warehouses and stores, where the hard question is never "do we have it" but "where should it ship from".
How Orders Move Through Firaasa
Multichannel order management in five steps, none of which needs a spreadsheet or a phone call.
- 1
Every channel lands in one queue
Orders from Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce and your stores arrive in a single queue against a single view of stock. Two channels cannot both sell the last unit, because they are not reading two different numbers.
- 2
Stock is held at variant level
Availability is tracked by style, color and size, not by product. Knowing you have 200 units of a style is not the same as knowing you have two size 8s left in the color a customer just ordered.
- 3
Duplicates are caught before they ship
The same customer placing the same order twice is flagged automatically, instead of being discovered when two parcels go out.
- 4
Your rules decide what waits
Rule-based holds stop anything that trips a condition you define. Your team reviews exceptions, not every order, which is what lets a sale run without extra staff on order review.
- 5
Each order routes to the best location
Order routing weighs which warehouses and stores hold that exact item, how close each one is to the customer, and how loaded it already is. Then the order drops straight into that location's pick queue.
Distributed Order Management, Built In
Order routing software that only looks at stock sends everything to whichever site has the most. Firaasa balances the network.
- Stock: only locations holding the exact variant are considered.
- Distance: the closer location wins when everything else is equal, which shortens delivery and cuts shipping cost.
- Workload: dynamic load balancing moves orders away from a location that is already at capacity.
- Your priorities: rank and prioritize locations so the network ships the way you want it to.
Order Management, Warehouse and ERP: Who Does What
Three systems, three jobs. Confusion between them is where most order problems start.
| System | Its job | In Firaasa |
|---|---|---|
| Order management | Capture, check and route every order | This module |
| Warehouse management | Receive, store, pick, pack and count stock inside a building | Warehouse Management System |
| Store fulfillment | Ship online orders from stores and take returns in store | Omnichannel Fulfillment |
| ERP | Products, purchasing, finance, the master record | Integrated: Dynamics 365, SAP, Odoo |
What Retailers See After Switching
75% lower shipping cost
Routing orders to the store nearest the customer instead of a central warehouse.
68% faster delivery lead times
Orders leave from a location closer to the customer, and they leave sooner.
9x fulfillment capacity
The same workforce now handles nine times the orders it did before.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an order management system?
An order management system (OMS) is the software that takes every order after checkout and decides what happens to it: whether it is genuine, whether the exact item is in stock, which warehouse or store should ship it, and when it is ready for a carrier. It sits between your sales channels and your fulfillment locations.
Do I need an OMS if I already sell on Shopify?
If you ship from one warehouse, Shopify's built-in order handling may be enough. Once you have several warehouses, stores that hold stock, or more than one sales channel, you need something that decides where each order ships from. That decision is what an order management system is for.
What is the difference between an OMS and an ERP?
An ERP keeps the financial and master record: products, purchasing, accounting. An OMS runs the live order flow: capture, checks, routing and fulfillment status. Firaasa integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP and Odoo so the two stay in step.
How does Firaasa decide where an order ships from?
It weighs three things for every order: which locations hold that exact item, how close each one is to the customer, and how much work each location already has. Dynamic load balancing spreads orders across the network so no single site is overwhelmed on a peak day.
Which order holds can we set up?
You define the rules. Typical ones catch duplicate orders, customers on a watch list, and orders that do not meet a condition you set. Orders that trip a rule wait for a person; everything else flows straight through.
How is the order management module priced?
Pricing depends on your order volume and the modules you run, so it is covered on a demo call.
